Mexico City, Oct 6 (IANS) Eighteen people, including a metropolis mayor, were killed and three others wounded when gunmen opened fire at a city hall in the Mexican city of San Miguel Totolapan.
Gunmen opened fire in a metropolis corridor in Guerrero on Wednesday killing 18 people, the BBC said.

The PRD’s left-wing birthday party, which includes Mayor Conrado Mendoza Almeda, condemned the attack and demanded justice.
Guerrero Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda took to Twitter to mention that he deeply regretted the deaths.
Before Wednesday’s attack, alleged participants of Los Tequileros, linked to a drug cartel, launched a video on social networking sites claiming to be back in the area.

Los Tequileros ravaged Guerrero in 2015 and 2017 and threatened local mayors until its leader, Raybel Jacobo de Almonte, was killed.
The gang was known as its leader De Almonte who became known as El Tequilero – the Tequila Drinker.
