One climber was killed and 23 others were rescued after a huge rescue operation on Ben Nevis. The police had obtained news that many people were stuck in trouble on the highest mountain of Britain at around 2.15 pm on Tuesday. A enormous rescue procedure was embarked, with mountain rescue teams and police officers running to help 24 people. Lochaber Mountain rescue crews, along with search and rescue helicopters from Inverness and Prestwick. They all were concerned in the operation. Police Scotland confirmed that one person had died.

Two other men, aged 29 and 37, were treated in hospital for little injuries. Officials also said there were no questionable possibilities covering the deaths or wounds.

Six people have passed in the Scottish mountains in the past two weeks. So, these six people also including a 54-year-old man who passed while walking on An Teallach, near Dundonnell.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm that a 28-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others, aged 29 and 27, were treated in hospital for minor injuries. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and the full report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal”.

With its conference at 4,406 feet (1,343 m), Ben Nevis is the most elevated mountain in the British Isles. The mountain also contains snow in some regions throughout the year. It is prevalent with visitors and climbers.

The mountain is also located near to the city of Fort William at the western end of the Grampian Mountains. Edinburgh botanist James Robertson was the first known person to reach the top of the mountain on 17th August 1771.

The Ordnance Survey verified Ben Nevis in 1847 as the highest mountain in Britain, ahead of its nearest opponent, Ben Macdui, also in the Highlands.
