She is believed to have been traveling at a speed of above 100 mph in a 35 mph zone. When the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived, the collision location was a little to the east of Ladera Park.
Six vehicles seemed to be involved in the collision when a 40-year-old woman allegedly rushed through the intersection and collided with oncoming traffic.
Driving southbound on La Brea Avenue, the motorist struck a car on Slauson Avenue before hitting another car and crashing into a gas station sign.
At least three of the vehicles took fire after the crash. Asherey Ryan, her unborn child, and four other people reportedly perished there.
Arrested is a Mercedes driver
In relation to the horrible Windsor Hills crash, a 40-year-old nurse was detained and is currently being held on charges of vehicular manslaughter.
The woman who is currently receiving medical attention at the hospital has been recognized as the driver of the Mercedes-Benz that collided while speeding down La Brea Avenue toward Slauson Avenue at an estimated speed of 80 to 100 mph.
She supports the California Highway Patrol investigation, according to two sources, and detectives are looking at her bloodwork to see if she was under the influence.
She will be formally charged on Monday by the Los Angeles County district attorney. As the coroner identifies the expectant mother who died in the high-speed collision, the arrest takes place.
