Al Adamson, a film director, was murdered in 1995, and his horrifyingly decomposed body was found. He was buried beneath the room’s flooring. After Al’s body was found, Fred Fulford was detained on suspicion of the murder.

Al was a well-known director who made B-grade horror movies and exploitation movies. Adamson began working professionally in the movie business when he was a young man.

In addition to directing, he has appeared in 33 films. Some of these are cult classic movies like Dracula vs. Frankenstein and Psycho A-Go-Go. His wife Regina Carol, an actress and singer, was usually a casting choice in his films.

Adamson gave up making movies in the early 1980s to pursue a career in real estate. In 1995, a live-in contractor who Adamson had hired to work on his property killed him. His demise and following trial attracted a lot of interest, and he served as the subject of numerous true-crime television movies.

A jury took less than two hours to find Fred Fulford guilty of murder following a six-week trial. This ruling was made by a judge in November 1999, and in March 2000, he was given a sentence of 25 years to life in jail.

He is currently serving a 72-year sentence in the California Health Care Facility in Stockton.

Even though he was eligible for parole in early 2016, the board rejected him for three years. On June 3, 2021, the same decision was upheld. Fred will consequently be subject to a parole hearing in June 2024.

Fred agreed to fraud, dishonesty, and squandering Al’s funds and trust throughout his cross-examination, but he insisted that he didn’t kill him. Instead, Fred argued that everything was against him and that he was being set up.

Contractor Fred Fulford Was Arrested For Al Adamson Murder

After Al Adamson’s body was discovered, Fred Fulford was promptly detained on suspicion of murder.

On July 26, Adamson’s brother made a missing person report after Al mysteriously disappeared. However, he had been decomposing and buried beneath the floor of his house the entire time.

It’s a hilarious documentary about a director of exploitation and horror B-movies that turns into a crazy Forensic Files murder investigation.

Police elevated the flooring in one of the chambers where the hot tub was located in order to make the horrifying discovery.

Investigators claim that the hot tub was removed and the body was buried beneath the ground, covered in soil and concrete. Tile work was just recently installed on the floor above the burial.

Why Did Fred Fulford Kill Al Adamson?

Due to his excessive spending of the profit he was meant to share, Fred Fulford killed Al Adamson.

To finish rebuilding his two-story house in the middle of an orange orchard, Adamson engaged Fred Fulford months ago. Fulford and Al were supposed to work as partners, sharing income when the house was successfully sold while Fulford worked on renovations.

As an internal contractor, he started taking advantage of the chance and spent too much of the director’s money. Adamson was reportedly thrown to the ground after being smacked in the head by Fulford after a heated altercation.

Fred admitted during questioning that he was uninformed of Al’s passing and had thought the famous person was on vacation.

But his criminal behaviour suggests otherwise. Along with forging his signature on checks and other official documents in the weeks that followed Al’s disappearance, he also moved to Florida, received Al’s cars there, and then sold them.

After a check of their home, Fred was detained after Al Adamson’s brother called the police to report his brother’s absence.

One day, one of Al’s brothers went to visit him but left when he realised Al wasn’t there.

At first he wasn’t worried, but on July 26 he reported him missing after five weeks of no contact. The fact that nobody had spoken to the director was then made known.
