Known as a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Jon Jones is presently competing for the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the light heavyweight division (UFC).

Both times, between the months of March 2011 and April 2015, and again between the months of December 2018 and August 2020, Jon held the title of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.

During the year 2016, the MMA fighter was also the interim holder of the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. When he defeated Mauricio Rua at the age of 23, he became the youngest champion in the history of the UFC.

Why Was Jon Jones Arrested? Charges And Allegations Of The Fighter

On September 24, 2021, just after the conclusion of the UFC Hall of Fame celebration in Las Vegas, Jon Jones was taken into custody.

The athlete was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor battery, domestic violence, and either inflicting bodily harm to another person or tampering with their vehicle.

After an outburst, a headbutt from the boxer left a “medium-sized dent as well as peeling off some of the paint on the vehicle,” which spurred the fighter to charge the vehicle. The headbutt also caused some paint to flake off.

Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas was the location of a domestic dispute that prompted the need for police assistance. Jesse Moses, his fiancee, allegedly had blood coming out of her lips and nose, and she later made a statement to the police in which she claimed that her fiance got a little bit rough with her in front of their three children.

After putting up resistance, he was reportedly caught and sent to jail, where he remains to this day.

Video Of UFC fighter Jon Jones Headbutting An Vegas PD Officer

A recently released video shows Jon Jones headbutting a police cruiser while he was being arrested on the Las Vegas strip in September.

Jones had recently been inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, and he was staying at Caesar’s Palace with members of his family so that they could take part in the ceremony.

The UFC fighter was taken into custody after security personnel at Caesars’ hotel called 911 in response to a plea for assistance made by his youngest daughter, who had witnessed an altercation between her father and his fiancee, Jessie Moses.

After spending the night out with his pals, Jon reportedly returned to his hotel room feeling irritated, as stated in a report that MMA Fighting got from the police at the time. When she tried to leave the room, Jon was accused of tugging her hair, and Moses stated that all three of their children were there.

The Review-Journal published a video of the arrest that was uploaded to YouTube and lasted for more than four minutes.

On the video, the athlete can be heard referring to one of the officers as “Officer Nerd” multiple times. He also seems to imply that he was arrested because of the fact that he is “large and Black.” Jones, who is becoming increasingly furious, slams his head against the hood of the police cruiser, creating what the officer describes as a “medium-sized dent.”

Is The Fighter Jon Jones In Jail?

Jon Jones was able to get out of jail the same night he was arrested by posting bail, and he later pled no contest to a lesser charge of minor property destruction.

He agreed to pay $750 in compensation after entering a guilty plea to a charge of destroying the property of another person, which is a Class A misdemeanor.

After his victory over Dominick Reyes in February of 2020, when he gave up his light-heavyweight belt, he hadn’t competed in a fight since then.

The former welterweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has since dropped hints that he may transition to the heavyweight division. He also appears to be in high spirits, as indicated by a string of positive social media posts.
