The comment comes after a source told E! News that Katie “feels terrible” about the mistake.
“She gets a little nervous when she’s on TV,” the source added. “Kathy is a very sensitive person and would never intentionally hurt anyone’s feelings.”
A separate source told E!: “Katie would never want to offend anyone at all. She does not know who is who.”
Gabby and Lizzo have yet to speak publicly about the incident, but the latest shared a series of photos in a hot bikini on Twitter on Aug. 11 with the caption, “Meanwhile…” and a smiling emoji wearing dark glasses.
