Biological sisters Sarah and Erin Molan are the descendants of Jim and Anne Molan. Sarah was once diagnosed with colon cancer.

Sarah’s diarrhea started bloody when she got home for the holidays. The family thought the worst that happened was that Sarah might have celiac disease.
Her mother convinced her to go to Dr. Ross Hendry of Queanbeyan, her local doctor, who ran some blood tests and suggested that she see Dr. Consult Graham Magarry, a gastroenterologist at Deakin University.
The doctor made the diagnosis of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), an inherited condition that starts out benign but can progress to cancer.
The news that Sarah and her father received after a colonoscopy at Calvary Hospital caught them completely off guard. This major general served in the coalition forces in Iraq and is now retired.
