After originally going to the hospital with a fracture that wouldn’t heal, he was diagnosed in March 2017. It took him another six months, until August or September, before he discovered the truth. Although not at an alarming rate, things had progressed in those six months, and he often thought about them. Motor neuron disease affects four areas: the upper limbs, the lower limbs, the back, and the throat, making it difficult to swallow whenever you have a sore throat.
