Bachelorette star Logan Palmer talks about a sudden exit

“The Bachelorette” contestant Logan Palmer wrote candid news about his mental health after his sudden departure on Monday episode.

San Diego native, 26 years old, shared on Instagram that he has been “struggling” with his well-being since the age of 12 and believes the process of competing on a reality show is “harder” than he ever thought possible.

“Destructive thoughts and constant doubts are obstacles that everyone refers to at some point, but not everyone talks about,” he wrote. “I also want to be transparent on this part of my journey and hope to be a safe place for others who are struggling with it. Recognizing my mental health and its impact on those around me will be a priority in my life.

Palmer admitted that his time on ABC was “not full of roses,” but reassured viewers that he was “grateful” for the opportunity.

“I thought it was something new, it was an adventure. But I came out on the other hand with more than just experience. I came out of it with real feelings, strong emotions, lessons learned and for which I am grateful – he explained.

The filmmaker also apologized to Rachel Recchia’s “Bachelorette” in her position after deciding to pursue her co-host, Gabby Windey, before his early departure.

“Sorry to add more difficulties to an already challenging journey. It was never my intention, but it was inspiring how strong you were through it all, ”he wrote.

Palmer then admitted that the “stars didn’t quite fit” for him and Windey, but thanked her for making him “a better person.”

“Observing myself on Monday evenings gave me a different perspective,” he wrote. “I will always be someone who will lead my heart whether he is popular or not. But in the future, I want to lead with intention and pursue the goal. I am ready to bring these lessons back into my life. “

Palmer quietly left the show ahead of his hometown dates, and host Jesse Palmer told Windey, 31, that her player had tested positive for COVID-19.

The diagnosis led to the cancellation of the evening cocktail party, which Jesse vaguely blames for “the situation with Logan” while talking to other men fighting for Windey’s heart.

However, at the end of the episode, Windey announced, “Logan cannot join us for the rest of our journey,” signaling that he has decided to eliminate himself.

The Bachelorette airs on Mondays at 8:00 PM EST on ABC.
