Methods to Add Music to TikTok Videos
- To record a new video, use the TikTok app on your Android or iOS device and tap on the “Add” (+ sign) option on the bottom menu.
- You can upload a video (or movies) already on your smartphone to TikTok and then add a sound.
- To the right of the capture button, tap Upload.
- To select a video thumbnail (or multiple video thumbnails), tap the Select (circle) checkbox in the upper-right corner.
- Select Next in the lower-right corner.
- Before clicking Next in the top right corner, you can either crop, change the speed, or change the orientation of your video.
- When recording a video directly from the TikTok app, tap the big red record button to record short video sequences, or tap and hold to record continuously.
- Apply effects if you want by tapping the buttons on the preview screen and then tapping the checkbox.
- Choose Sounds in the lower left corner.
- Use the categories to browse TikTok’s built-in library of sounds, or use the search form above to search for a specific sound
- To apply a sound to your video and preview it while the sound is playing, check the box to the right of the sound after tapping it to play the clip.
- Tap Volume in the vertical menu on the right to change the volume of the original sound and the added sound up or down, then tap the checkmark when done.
- Finish editing your movie by adding more features like text, stickers and effects.
- To add a caption and control visibility, click Next in the bottom right. To add the video to TikTok after completing your changes, tap Post.
