“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actor Nicholas Brendon was hospitalized after suffering a “cardiac incident,” his sister revealed.

“Nicky is fine now, but about two weeks ago he had to be thrown into the emergency room for a cardiac incident (tachycardia / arrhythmia),” she wrote a series of photos on Brendon’s Instagram Monday shows him in the ambulance and hospital.

“Some of you may remember you had a similar incident after your second spine surgery last year (in the case of Cauda Equin), but this time. He tries to get a little more rest and focuses on medical appointments. “

The actor “Criminal Minds” underwent spine surgery to heal the genital and leg paralysis that worsened after he had to sleep in a cell with a concrete floor after being arrested for a prescription fraud, his manager claimed.

“When he was arrested, they weren’t quite careful about his condition,” added Theresa Fortier. “The symptoms of his previous injury have worsened and the paralysis is starting to show. Could crash another disk or [had] everything fell out of line.

“So sleeping on the cement floor with other inmates was not conducive to healing and made his injuries worse and has been in great pain with numbness and paralysis ever since,” she explained.

Brendon, 51, was arrested and charged with falsifying a prescription for a controlled substance and for refusing to identify him, while he was arrested for an offense in August 2021.

It was the latest in a series of legal problems, and the actor had previously been arrested twice in 2015 before retiring to rehab the same year.
