Prince Harry sets off on a trip to Africa before visiting Great Britain with Meghan Markle

Prince Harry made an unexpected lonely visit to Africa on Wednesday – ahead of his upcoming trip to the UK and Germany with Meghan Markle next month.

The Duke of Sussex, 37, was photographed at Vilankulo airport. The next day, People confirmed Harry traveled to the continent as president of African Parks, the nonprofit conservation organization that manages national parks across the continent.

Harry “has hosted and co-hosted a group of US officials, environmentalists and philanthropists who visit protected wildlife and wildlife,” his spokesman said.

Royal took over the role in 2017, a year after joining African Parks.

Last month, Harry spoke to the United Nations on climate change and mentioned his love for Africa.

“Since I first visited Africa at the age of 13, I have always found hope in the continent. In fact, she has been my lifeline for most of my life, ”he said in his July speech.

“It was where I felt closest to mine [late] mother, [Princess Diana]and I sought consolation after her death and where I knew I had found a soul mate in my wife.

Harry and Markle, 41, brought their 3-year-old son Archie to Africa in September 2019, marking this toddler’s first and only royal itinerary.

Four months later, they announced their decision to withdraw from the duties of senior members of the royal family.

They moved to California in March 2020 after spending some time in Canada.

The couple, who resigned from all royal duties in February, have since welcomed one-year-old daughter Lilibet.

The family of four made their first joint trip across the pond since Megxit in June to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee.

Harry will return to England with the graduate of Suits in September, with an additional stop in Germany.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to be visiting several charities close to their hearts in early September,” a spokesman for the duo said on Monday.
