Watch Lea Michele Rehearse for Broadway’s Funny Girl

On August 19, a Broadway production Cheerful girl shared the long-awaited first look at Lea Michele as Fanny Brice. In a black and white clip posted on Lea’s official pages and the show’s Instagram, Joy graduate rehearses the role as a clip of the actress singing “I’m the Greatest Star” plays in the background.

“The role of a lifetime,” reads the August 19 caption post. “Beginning September 6, Lea Michele will join the cast of FUNNY GIRL as Fanny Brice. See you at August Wilson!”

The 35-year-old showed her excitement for the project by taking to Instagram on July 5 to share a cute snap of herself standing in front of the show’s marquee in New York. She captioned the photo: “The dream came true.”
