Jennifer Lopez liked marrying Ben Affleck so much that she did it twice.
Gigli’s actors staged a lavish ceremony at Affleck’s Georgia home on August 20 for extended friends and family a month after their modest Las Vegas wedding.
The bride wore a stunning gown with short sleeves, a low cut back, and a slim fit that cascaded into a long, ruffled train.
And, to add extra drama, she wore the huge 20-foot veil that all five of their children – 14-year-old twins Lopez Max and Emme, as well as Violet Affleck, 16, Seraphina, 13 and Samuel, 10 – helped walk down the sidewalk leading to the “plantation style” home in Riceboro, Georgia after the ceremony.
Page six reported earlier that Lopez was expected to wear a custom Ralph Lauren gown before the big day.
If she did go with the American designer, the designer’s choice J. Lo is appropriate as she wore Ralph Lauren to the Met 2021 gala shortly after her relationship with Affleck was revived. The 53-year-old Hustlers star walked the red carpet without her lover, but met him at a party showing off a lot of PDAs.
A-list guests such as Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel and the clerk Jay Shetty dressed in white to match the sumptuous decorations and overflowing displays. They were also treated to a fireworks display and live music during a noisy party.
The groom also wore a white tuxedo jacket and black pants, recreating the look she wore at the Las Vegas ceremony last month.
This is not Lopez’s first look at Mrs. Affleck; has already worn two gowns to legally marry the 50-year-old actor “Argo”: a plain white backless dress from Alexander McQueen, which the star said she had “saved for so many years,” as well as a more traditional but glam, all-lace Zuhair Murad gown.
Their three-day “intimate celebration for family and friends” began on Friday with a rehearsal dinner – which was briefly muffled when Affleck’s mother was rushed to the hospital for a cut in her leg – and a Sunday barbecue picnic.
