The host of the CNN program Anderson 360 is the well-known journalist and political expert Anderson Cooper. Cooper hosts the 60 Minutes program on CBS News in addition to his work for CNN.

Cooper began working for CNN in 2001 and was given his own program, Anderson Cooper 360°, in 2003, which he has hosted ever since.

He became known for his on-the-ground coverage of major news events, and his coverage of Hurricane Katrina greatly increased his notoriety.

Cooper received the highest award given by the Haitian government for his coverage of the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Anderson Live, a syndicated daytime discussion show he also hosted, aired from September 2011 to May 2013.

Is Anderson Cooper leaving CNN? Where is he now?

Anderson Cooper won’t be leaving CNN, sorry. After his recent hiatus from the show, viewers of the news channel took it, but it seems he’s simply taken some time off.

He currently has no plans to leave CNN. He will take a little break and then get back to work. Anderson has been on the staff of CNN since 2001.

Anderson 360, which he has hosted with the same enthusiasm for 21 years, was gifted to him as soon as he joined the channel.

Cooper also mentions in his Twitter bio that he works for CNN and 60 Minutes. He hasn’t tweeted anything since May 29. Anderson is currently spending his free time with his family.

Is Anderson Cooper not on the air tonight?

CNN’s Aug. 20 show appears to have Anderson Cooper tonight. But he had already stated in February that he was taking a break from the program because he had just had his second child.

To spend more time with his newborn child, Anderson had said he was taking two weeks off work.

On February 11, he announced the birth of his son on live television. He explained that he and his ex-partner Benjamin Maisani will be raising their new baby.

In a 6-minute video, he unhesitatingly revealed personal details about himself, and in the second half of the video he announced that he would be unavailable for work for two weeks.

There’s little doubt that Anderson has started appearing frequently on his show and hasn’t yet made the decision to leave CNN.

They started dating in 2009, but they didn’t go public with their relationship until 2015. Cooper visited Dallas at least five times to spend time with Dr. Victor Lopez before they ended it.

Despite the divorce, the couple remain close and are raising their newborn child together. Cooper announced in February that his ex-partner would share parenting responsibilities for their two children.

He announced on his show that Benjamin was his best bud, that Wyatt was adopted and that his last name will be changed to Maisani-Cooper.

He serves as the show’s main presenter on the CNN news program Anderson Cooper 360°. Cooper is a correspondent for CNN and CBS News’ 60 Minutes. Early Life and Education

The youngest son of Wyatt Emory Cooper and artist Gloria Vanderbilt, Cooper was born in Manhattan, New York City. Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt, a millionaire Vanderbilt horseman, and socialite Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt were his maternal grandparents. Reginald’s patrilineal great-grandfather was businessman Cornelius Vanderbilt, who founded the famous Vanderbilt shipping and railroad fortune. He is a great-great-grandson of both Civil War brevet Major General Hugh Judson Kilpatrick and his Chilean wife Luisa Fernandez de Valdivieso, who accompanied General William Tecumseh Sherman on his march through Georgia. He is a second cousin once removed through his maternal line from screenwriter James Vanderbilt.

Cooper has a long history in the media. He was captured by Diane Arbus when he was a baby for Harper’s Bazaar. On September 17, 1970, then three-year-old Cooper appeared alongside his mother as a guest on The Tonight Show. [Reference needed] At the age of nine he appeared on To Tell the Truth as a con artist. Cooper modeled with Ford Models for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Macy’s from the ages of 10 to 13.

Wyatt, who underwent open heart surgery, had a series of heart attacks and died on January 5, 1978 at the age of 50. Families, the book written by Cooper’s father, serves as “a kind of roadmap for … how he would have wanted me to live my life and the choices he would have wanted me to make,” according to Cooper. So I feel very connected to him.

At the age of 23, Carter Vanderbilt Cooper, Cooper’s older brother, committed suicide by jumping from the 14th floor patio of Vanderbilt’s New York penthouse residence. Cooper was 21 at the time. In a later essay on her son’s death, Gloria Vanderbilt expressed her opinion that the suicide was caused by a psychotic episode brought on by an allergy to the prescription anti-asthma drug salbutamol. Anderson became interested in journalism after Carter committed suicide.

Career

At the beginning of the career

Cooper studied political science at the University of Virginia, where he spent two summers as an intern at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He aspired to a career in journalism despite not having an academic degree in journalism. According to his own statements, he was already an avid news consumer in the womb. After completing his first correspondence job in the early 1990s, he took a sabbatical from reporting and moved to Vietnam, where he stayed for a full year. During this time he attended Vietnam National University in Hanoi to study the Vietnamese language.

After graduating from Yale, Cooper made an unsuccessful attempt to secure an entry-level position with ABC answering machines, but was unsuccessful. Cooper, who was having a hard time breaking into on-air reporting, made the decision to create a press pass with the help of a pal to gain access to more events. At the time, Cooper worked as a fact-checker for the small news agency Channel One. Channel One is responsible for producing a youth-oriented news program that is broadcast to a large number of junior high and high schools throughout the United States. [13] After that, Cooper entered Myanmar alone with the fake press card and met with students who were fighting against the Burmese government. [11] At the end of the day, he was successful in selling his homemade news to Channel One.

After completing his reporting in Myanmar, Cooper moved to Vietnam for a year to attend courses at the University of Hanoi and study the Vietnamese language. Cooper quickly began filming and compiling reports on Vietnamese life and culture for Channel One when he managed to convince Channel One to let him carry a Hi8 camera. These reports were shown on Channel One. In 1992 he returned to making stories from war-torn countries around the world, including Somalia, Bosnia and Rwanda.

In 1994, after a few years of fulfilling such duties, Cooper realized that he had gradually hardened himself to the violence he was seeing all around him; the atrocities of the genocide in Rwanda were irrelevant to him. When I saw twelve bodies, my first thought was, “Well, it’s only twelve; it can’t be that horrible.” One particular event, however, was the trigger that upset him.
