The ABC series may end after the fifth season. Creator of the series DJ Nash is reportedly creating the final episodes TVLine.com. The publication reports that the show will have “creative pleasure.”
E! News reached out to ABC and Nash but did not receive a comment.
The fourth season finale ended abruptly as Gary (James Rodai Rodriguez) is battling cancer and is also hiding the child he and Maggie have (Allison Miller) in the way. The news of the series’ possible ending has fans wondering how Maggie and Gary’s relationship will develop, but hopefully the season finale will answer all of our burning questions.
“The entire ABC creative staff was very supportive and eager to see a fifth season,” Nash told TVLine.com in May. And we knew that if that didn’t happen, our fans would be like, “You can’t end a series like that!”
