The beloved actor unexpectedly appeared in the finale of the second season Only murders in the building, playing Broadway star Ben Glenroy. His character was one of the actors in Oliver (Martin Short) new play and was to play together with Charles (Steve Martin). However, at the premiere, Ben spoke one line before dying on stage.
However, this is not the last that fans will see of the character. Only murders in the building co-creator John Hoffman confirmed on August 23 that Paul will star in the third season. “Having made an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of season two as Ben Glenroy, Paul Rudd is someone we clearly want to know more about,” Hoffman said in a statement, “and see in the upcoming third season.” — as he is the obvious source of many questions to come and, as always with our show, there are many twists and turns to come!”
