Anne Heche’s son reveals the importance of the actress’s resting place

Anne Heche’s sons know their mother would love the place where they decided to bury her remains after her death in a fiery car accident.

Homer Laffoon, 20, detailed in a Page Six statement why he and his brother, Atlas Tupper, 13, chose Hollywood Forever Cemetery as Heche’s final resting place.

“My brother Atlas and I want to thank Tyler, Noelle and all the amazing people at Hollywood Forever for their kindness, compassion and generosity of spirit,” the statement read.

“We are convinced that our mother would love the site we chose for her; she is beautiful, cheerful and will be among her Hollywood peers ”.

The statement further added that they mostly chose Hollywood Forever because it is “a lively place where people go to movies, concerts and other events.”

Laffon, who is Heche’s eldest son, continued in a statement: “She was our mom, but the kindness and inspiration of the last few days have reminded us that she belongs to her fans too, to the entertainment community, and now to eternity.”

Heche shared Laffon with ex-husband Coleman “Coley” Laffoon and co-founded Atlas with ex-boyfriend and “Men in Trees” star James Tupper.

The Hollywood Forever Cemetery, which was established in 1899, is the burial place of Hollywood people including Judy Garland, Rudolph Valentino, Mickey Rooney, Valerie Harper, Anton Yelchin, and Chris Cornell. It also regularly organizes a number of cultural events, including concerts and outdoor film screenings.

Heche died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries, according to a Los Angeles County Medical Coroner. Investigators were reportedly able to determine that she was under the influence of cocaine at the time of the crash.
