Guy Willison, a custom motorcycle builder best known for his work alongside Henry Cole on The Motorbike Show, has started a company under his own name called 5Four Motorcycles. 5Four will produce series of limited edition bikes with major manufacturers. The company got its name from the call sign the founder used when he was working as a shipping driver.
After several years working in shipping, mechanics and tuning, Willison teamed up with childhood friend Henry Cole to found Gladstone Motorcycles. Together they hand built a series of nine Gladstone No.1 bikes in a shed.
Willison also designed and built the Gladstone Red Beard, which now holds a UK land speed record for a classic 350cc motorcycle. This record was achieved in collaboration with Sam Lovegrove.
Over the past year they have been working on a new Gladstone, the build-to-order No1 SE, as well as a collaboration with Cole and Norton in which he put his own spin on the existing Commando, resulting in the development of the Commando 961 Road.
