Kenan Thompson is taking over the 2022 Emmys — literally

He is the owner of the most.

The 2022 Emmy Awards are still a few weeks away, but Kenan Thompson already laughable.

In E! An exclusive first look at the Emmys’ official keynote from a long time ago Saturday night live they see the star doing what she does best — being silly. Dressed in costume, Thompson makes a goofy face as he plays with the Emmy statue and grabs her iconic golden ball.

“Wait,” said the poster, “this is the Emmys, hosted by Kenan Thompson.”

But make no mistake: he’s serious about this gig.

“To be a part of this incredible evening where we honor the best of the television community is incredibly exciting, and to do it at NBC — my old family — makes it even more special,” Thompson said earlier this month after it was announced that he will host the event. “Like all TV fans, I can’t wait to see the stars of my favorite shows.”
