“I connected with people in person, at exhibitions and via social media, and shared news that I’m not proud of. Most importantly, each of these interactions was reciprocal and always between consenting adults. To suggest something else is deeply revisionist and frankly just plain wrong.

“I have never touched a woman against her will, and any suggestions I have are just false. I strongly deny any suggestion that I was imposing on a woman or demanding sexual favors. It simply and unequivocally never happened.

“While all these accounts were consistent, I am very sorry to anyone I have hurt by my behavior. Life is filled with so much pain and mistakes, and I never want to take part in causing someone else’s pain. “
