Lil Nas X broadcasts Iman Channel in VMA 2022 Red Carpet Outfit
Lil Nas X and Iman are feather birds.
Rapper “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” landed on the VMA 2022 red carpet in a fancy feathered outfit, dressing shirtless in a statistically worthy Harris Reed hat and a matching circle skirt draped over sequin bells.
His stunning set resembled the gilded outfit that the same designer created Iman’s Met Gala 2021, down to (or rather) a hat larger than life.
When the supermodel rocked an eccentric style at the hippest festival of the year, Reed it was called “My biggest dream has come true” on Instagram.
And Lil Nas X seemed just as excited to be wearing a version of the look at Sunday’s awards show.
“This is tough and it’s Harris Reed,” the hit-maker “Old Town Road” said on the carpet. “It’s something fresh, something new, I feel amazing.”
The fluid-gender Reed mods boast a whole A-list fanbase – including Beyoncé, who equipped one of the heavy-duty designer headgear on the cover of UK Vogue earlier this year.
Reed is also behind the Victorian crinoline, a bold blazer with bold shoulders and suit-inspired pants that Harry Styles designed for Vogue in 2020.
Lil Nas X (born Montero Lamar Hill) has a lot of experience that is eye-catching at the awards ceremony, presenting Kim Kardashian in a white pearl-studded Balmain suit on the Grammy 2022 red carpet, paying tribute to the Prince in purple during VMA 2021 and rocking a gold-plated trio costumes at the Met 2021 gala.

In June, Nas expressed his frustration after being overlooked by the BET Awards.
“Thank you to the plant for the awards. again outstanding zero nominations. black perfection! ”wrote the rapper, then quickly wiped out the sentiment. He continued (in the deleted message since then): “I just feel that black gays have to fight to be seen in this world, and even when we reach the MFS summit, we try to pretend to be invisible.”
Despite the lack of BET this year, VMAs nominated for the role of rapper “Old Town Road” in as many as seven categories, many alongside his friend and associate Jack Harlow. First Class singer and Lil Nas X share six nods in the Industry Baby category including Music Video of the Year, Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography.
The singer “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” also fights Harlow for Artist of the Year, but nothing seems to stand between their friendship. Harlow, 24, even supported his talented best friend by wearing a Lil Nas X T-shirt at the 2022 BET Awards to protest his affront.
It will also be his first live performance with Nicki Minaj. Lil Nas X was a known fan of the star “Super Bass” so big that he reportedly had a fan account dedicated to the rapper before he became famous himself.
