Details on Celebrity Jeopardy’s makeover this fall

But when a new batch of stars test their knowledge on Celebrity Jeopardy! this fall — they’ll do it with a little flair. ABC has announced plans to turn the star-studded version of the popular game show into a 13-week tournament.

In an interview with TV Guide Jeopardy! executive producer Michael Davis expressed his enthusiasm for the “slightly new format” that will feature hour-long shows instead of the standard 30-minute series.

“The response from our fans and celebrities has been phenomenal,” Davis continued, promising that it will still be a “very authentic Jeopardy! experience,” even with the Hollywood vibe in the air.

Davis added: “What people want to see is celebrities under the same pressure.”

Celebrity Danger! Host Mayim Bialik also assured that these celebrities will not receive passes. Bialik called it “OG Jeopardy with celebrities” in an announcement video posted on the show official Twitter page August 23. “Let’s hope they’ve read more than scripts.”
