The early years of Braun Strowman

Adam Scherr was born in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, on September 6, 1983. This town is near Charlotte.

He was born to Sara and Rick “Crusher” Scherr. Her father is in the USSSA Hall of Fame and is thought to be one of the best slow-pitch softball players of all time. His father still holds the World Series records for home runs (101), hits (166), and RBI (runs batted in) (202). Hannah is Scherr’s younger sister.

As he got older, he spent more time in Arkansas and Tennessee. Strowman attended Bandys High School when he was young. There, he played many sports, such as wrestling, football, and track and field. In high school, he grew to a height of 6 feet 5 inches (1.96 meters).

After he graduated from high school in 2001, he continued to study. Strowman was wasting time until 2003, when he went to a local community college to earn an associate’s degree. After that, he played semi-professional football for four years with the Hickory Hornets while also working as a doorman and mechanic to earn extra money.

Scherr participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in 2007, but he did not go on to play professional football. In the middle of the second half of the 2000s, he began to participate in amateur strongman competitions.

Scherr has a younger sister named Hannah. He spent time in Arkansas and Tennessee while he was growing up. As a child, he attended Bandys High School, where he played football, ran track and field, and wrestled. He had a huge growth spurt in high school. He was 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) tall as a freshman, but by the time he graduated, he was 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m). After graduating from high school in 2001, he did nothing until 2003, when he entered a community college. For the next four years, he played semi-professional football for the Hickory Hornets and worked as a doorman and mechanic to make up the difference. Scherr went to the NFL Scouting Combine in 2007, but did not turn pro. In the late 2000s, he began participating in amateur strongman contests.

Scherr won the NAS Amateur National Championships on November 5, 2011. This earned him his Strongman Corporation (ASC) Professional Card.

He won the 2012 Arnold Amateur Strongman Championships on March 4. This event took place in conjunction with the 2012 Arnold Strongman Classic at the Arnold Sports Festival. Scherr was invited to the 2013 Arnold Strongman Classic because of this win. On July 8, 2012, he took part in the SCL North American Championships and finished fifth overall. On July 21, 2012, he took part in the Giants Live Poland event and was seventh overall.

Career in professional wrestling

In early 2013, Scherr signed a contract with the professional wrestling company WWE. He was sent to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and took the ring name Braun Stowman (whose first name is a reference to Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun).

In 2014, he took part in Adam Rose’s Exotic Express act as one of his “Rosebuds.” On December 19, 2014, at an NXT live event in Jacksonville, Florida, he defeated Chad Gable to become a pro wrestler. Strowman as a member of The Wyatt Family (Performing the Black Sheep) in January 2016

On the August 24 episode of Raw, Scherr made his main roster debut under the name Braun Strowman. He attacked Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns and joined Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan as the newest members of The Wyatt Family.

On the August 31 episode of Raw, Strowman had his first singles match on TV. He defeated Ambrose by disqualification.

Strowman’s first WWE pay-per-view event match was on September 20 at Night of Champions. In a six-man tag team match, The Wyatt Family defeated Ambrose, Reigns, and Chris Jericho after Strowman took out Jericho with a lifting arm triangle choke. The Wyatt Family defeated The ECW Originals (Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Rhyno, and Tommy Dreamer) in an eight-man tag team elimination tables match on December 13 at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

On January 24, 2016, Strowman took part in the Royal Rumble match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He eliminated five opponents before Brock Lesnar eliminated him, but returned to the match and helped the other members of the Wyatt Family eliminate Lesnar. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said the match “made Strowman look like a monster.” The Wyatt Family lost to Big Show, Kane, and Ryback at Fastlane on February 21, but got their win on Raw the following night in a rematch. At WrestleMania 32 on April 3, Strowman appeared when The Rock and John Cena took on The Wyatt Family. The League of Nations was supposed to face The Wyatt Family at Payback on May 1, but the match had to be canceled due to Wyatt’s injury. The Wyatt Family began feuding with the WWE Tag Team Champions, The New Day, in July. On July 24 at Battleground, they defeated The New Day in a six-man tag team match.
