Prince Harry gets on a plane after Queen Elizabeth’s death

Prince Harry boarded a plane at Aberdeen Airport on Friday morning, making him the first member of the royal family to leave Balmoral after Queen Elizabeth’s death.

He is reportedly flying on a British Airways plane and was escorted to the plane by airport staff after initially thought he would fly in a private jet.

Harry did not get to Balmoral in time to see her grandmother before she died at the age of 96.

Meghan Markle did not join Prince Harry at Balmoral prior to the departure of Queen Elizabeth II because she was concerned that she would not be “warmly welcomed” by the royal family.

While initial reports said the Duchess of Sussex would join the red-haired royal family in Scotland, Page Six later confirmed that she had not traveled with him.

He and Meghan Markle did not appear in public on The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June. They introduced the Queen to their one-year-old daughter Lilibet at a closed-door meeting.
