Various netizens, especially cat lovers, criticized RD’s activities. RD was then taken to the North Bengkulu Police on suspicion of mistreatment of living beings.

North Bengkulu Police Chief AKBP Andy Pramudya Wardana confirmed the report against RD. RD was later arrested by the police on a report numbered LP/B/2019/IX/2022/SPKT.SATRESKRIM/POLRES UTARA BENGKULU/POLDA BENGKULU.

RD was successfully arrested by officers not long after the demonstration video eating a cat became famous online and irritated netizens.
