Page Six learned that Wendy Williams had returned to rehab to heal her substance abuse problems following her failure with manufacturing company Debmar-Mercury.

“It got worse,” says our source. “She went from wine to pure vodka.”

It is unknown where Williams is treated, but she has previously sought help at centers in Florida and Long Island City, New York.

We were told that Williams’ health problems and addictions had worsened after her former talk show production company allegedly “refused” to seek her help.

“They turned their backs on her,” our source now explains. “They had too much control over someone so vulnerable.”

Neither the Williams representative nor the manager immediately responded to Page Six’s request for comment.

Williams’s ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, had previously argued that Debmar-Mercury would not engage in any behavior that would distract the 58-year-old miss from the shock of her once iconic purple chair.

“Debmar would not endorse Wendy’s efforts to recover with her family,” Hunter told us in July. “They wouldn’t sign anything to assist her in her recovery efforts.”

Hunter, 50, further claimed that the Williams family participated in some sort of Debmar-Mercury intervention during which he and the group discussed how to help Williams fight her alcoholism.

“They were sitting at a meeting with her entire family, including her late mother, and they didn’t endorse an effort that would help Wendy recover, live, and be sober,” he told us. “Basically, they said,” If you don’t stop drinking, you’ll lose the show. “

Concerns about Williams’ health and well-being returned in early August after a former radio presenter claimed she had married an NYPD officer.

“Things really don’t add up. She’s not the same Wendy… She’s going downhill like crazy, and her family in Florida is worried about her, ”a Page Six source said at the time.

In the midst of the drama in her personal life, Williams’ public life also suffered as she got into a public battle with her bank, Wells Fargo, after she was blocked from her accounts. In response to the drama, her former attorney claimed in a lengthy statement to Page Six that Williams’ former financial adviser Lori Schiller had “left” her to “die.”

Schiller never responded to the claims.

Williams struggled with substance abuse from an early age in her career. She became sober and remained so until a relapse appeared in late 2018 or early 2019. During this time, she interrupted her performance for two months, but claimed it was to cure her Graves’ disease. She later forced herself into an intermediate house to help her stay sober.
