Tell Me Lies Episode 4, despite what its name might suggest, is mostly about sexual desire and the desires that come with it. Lucy stayed with Stephen even though she thought he was having sex with someone else. Even though she tries her hardest, Stephen is able to use her manipulative skills to keep her from getting the upper hand in their sexual relationship. This makes him an obedient companion in the end.
Lucy gets more emotional than anyone else, and the fourth episode shows it so clearly that you want to yell at her and show her what she’s doing wrong. Viewers can’t help but feel a strange connection, so all they can do is watch.
In this episode, Wrigley and Pippa’s relationship doesn’t get much screen time, and it’s unclear how they’re keeping the big secret about Macy’s death a secret. Bree’s inner turmoil is understandable, and the fact that she can’t really talk about it is important. As for Bree, our virgin queen, she’s finally over it, but it’s easy to understand the pain she feels inside.

The fourth episode of Tell Me Lies does a great job of setting up the relationships and dynamics that will play out throughout the series. However, people who have read the book should be disappointed that Lucy’s eating disorder is not a bigger part of the story. However, given Stephen’s work behind the scenes, perhaps this will soon become clear on screen.
Because our main character is closed off, it’s hard to know what she’s going through. One thing that needs further explanation is Lucy’s dependence on Stephen. This is another thing that needs to be made clearer. It’s especially annoying that we don’t learn anything new about Lucy that Stephen and his friends don’t already know. In the long run, a voiceover can help the audience understand what’s going on so they don’t get too far away from the main character.
The best part of Tell Me Lies Episode 4 has to be the part of the script that tells about Bree, how she lost her virginity, and how she feels about it. Typical depictions of sexuality are often so over the top that they miss the mark when it comes to relatability. Tell Me Lies, on the other hand, manages, with the help of Bree, to show the less wonderful parts of losing one’s virginity and what sex feels like for different people.
Since the last episode ended on a cliffhanger about how Macy’s photos were accessed on Stephen’s computer, this episode should have focused more on those themes. Macy’s death seems to be treated as a side issue in this episode, which shouldn’t be the case given how important it is to the end of the story. But there’s no way around the fact that we have to keep our appetites in check while we wait for the important explanation.

Overall, the fourth episode of Tell Me Lies was well written and put together. He moved away from Lucy for a while so that Bree appeared like a big deal. In addition, it is possible to emphasize that Lucy and Stephen can be together for a long time, which will prepare the audience for something terrible and devastating. We didn’t drag this episode out by going back and forth between the past and the present, that’s for sure. But if Evan and Bree’s conversation aired the wedding, it was a really touching moment.
