Anne Hathaway has a “The Devil Wears Prada” moment with Anna Wintour

Channel “The Devil Wears Prada” at New York Fashion Week? Crucial.
But this time the devil in question is wearing Michael Kors as Anne Hathaway sat in the front row next to Anna Wintour (inspiration for Miranda Priestly in TDWP) at the designer show at New York Fashion Week.
Furthermore, Hathaway’s appearance on the show – a brown crocodile-embossed leather coat over a black turtleneck dress – was almost identical to what her character, Andy Sachs, wore in the final scene of the 2006 movie.
Fans couldn’t come to terms with how much the actress looked like her on-screen alter ego, especially with Andy-style fringe.
“Anne Hathaway referring to the devil wears prada (17 years ago) sitting next to Anna Wintour during fashion week … a handle that has on me”, one tweeted.
Other named moment “Actually cult” while the third he was joking“I know Anne Hathaway wants the devil to wear Prada for a SO BAD sequel.”
In the beloved film adaptation of the best-selling novel by Lauren Weisberger, Sachs Hathaway joins the fashion magazine team (obviously based on Vogue) as an assistant to his icy editor-in-chief, Priestly (played by Meryl Streep). After a difficult start, Sachs is reworked into high style and impresses her boss before finally leaving the warehouse.
While Hathaway was not the first choice for this role (20th Century Fox wanted to play Rachel McAdams), she must have screwed that down.
The star of The Princess Diaries has been killing the real-life fashion game lately, presenting a look Priestly would be proud of.
Hathaway, stunned at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022 in an Armani Privé sequin gown and a stunning sapphire necklace, rocked his colorful bodice while making the press “WeCrashed” and even pushed the return of a 2000 pouf hairstyle.
Now, it also brings back one of the era’s most iconic movies.
