Prince Harry will be wearing his military uniform when he attends a special vigil for Queen Elizabeth II this Saturday, Page Six confirmed.

The source only tells Page Six that Harry – who had previously been told he couldn’t wear a military uniform – did not ask for a change.

“He was just prepared to wear whatever his grandmother planned. The focus is on honoring her and that’s it. If they would like him in uniform, I have no reason to believe he will disagree, ”says our source.

Source said The Daily Mirror, who first announced the news on Thursday that it was primarily a “ridiculous situation”.

“The Duke of Sussex has served his country and is a very respected member of the armed forces with all he has done for the veterans,” a source told the newspaper. “It is important that all of the Queen’s grandchildren feel welcome and comfortable as they mourn their beloved grandmother together.”

The queen’s eight grandchildren, including Prince William and Harry, are expected to stand on Saturday night on a 15-minute vigil next to their grandmother’s coffin.

The Queen’s other grandchildren, including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara and Peter Philips, and Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn, will also attend the Westminster Hall vigil.

It is unclear if Harry was allowed to wear military uniform also at the funeral on Monday.
