See the first photo of the Queen’s final resting place with Prince Philip

Buckingham Palace released the first photo of Queen Elizabeth II’s final resting place next to Prince Philip on Saturday.

“The stone of the book was installed in the King George VI Memorial Chapel after the funeral of Her Majesty Elizabeth” the royal family wrote from their verified Twitter account.

Attached to the post was a photograph of the ruler’s tomb surrounded by flower arrangements.

After Elizabeth’s state funeral on September 19, she was buried along with the body of her late husband, Philip, who had been transferred to join her.

Her parents, King George VI, who died in 1952, and Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mother who died in 2002, and her sister, Princess Margaret, who also died in 2002, were buried in the King George VI Chapel Memorial.

Philip’s remains, who died at the age of 99 in April 2021.which previously took place in the Royal Crypt in the Chapel of St.

The King George VI Memorial Chapel is part of the Chapel of St. George, the place of various royal burials.

Elizabeth died on September 8 at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle, Scotland, after a historic 70-year reign.

Then King Charles III, her eldest son, succeeded the British throne with his wife Camilla, now serving as queen consort.

Hours after the death of his beloved mother was made public, 73-year-old Charles mourned her in an emotional statement.

“The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty, is a moment of greatest sorrow for me and all members of my family” read the posted statement to royal family social media accounts.

“We deeply mourn the passing of our beloved Ruler and beloved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Kingdoms and the Commonwealth of Nations, and countless people around the world. ”

“During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will comfort and support with our knowledge of the respect and deep affection in which the Queen was so widely favored.”
