Rapper Coolio died at the age of 59

Rapper Coolio died on Wednesday at the age of 59, according to TMZ.

Longtime Coolio manager Jarez said the rapper was at a friend’s house in Los Angeles when he apologized and went to the bathroom.

When he didn’t come back after a reasonable time, a friend reportedly called him – but got no answer.

A worried friend just went to the bathroom and discovered Coolio on the floor – whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr. The colleague immediately called paramedics.

Coolio was pronounced dead at the scene after suspected cardiac arrest. However, the official cause of death is still pending.

The rapper, who started his career in the 1980s, rose to fame in 1995 with the release of “Gangsta’s Paradise”, which appeared in the movie “Dangerous Minds”.
