A professional baseball shortstop for the Toronto Blue Jays, Bo Bichette is the son of Mariana and Dante Bichette.

He may have developed a lifelong passion for baseball because his father was a former professional baseball player.

In the second round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft, the Toronto Blue Jays selected the 66th overall pick.

The player then admitted he turned down four draft offers to join Toronto. On June 17, he signed a $1.1 million bonus. After suffering a stomach problem in his first 18 games with the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays, he was placed on the 7-day disabled list.

Despite missing more than half the season through injury, he was named shortstop for the Gulf Coast League All-Star Team on September 13.
