Most of Last Seen Alive was filmed in Bryan, Chatham and Effingham counties, which are part of the Greater Savannah Statistical Area. The majority of the cast and crew camped in Savannah, the area’s center and county seat of Chatham County, where they recorded numerous sequences in suitable settings.
The group also used the lands in Bloomingdale, a town near Chatham County’s northern border. Allegedly, they remodeled the city’s police building to capture crucial scenes. Wilmington Island, a census-designated location about 20 minutes from Savannah, was also visited by the film crew.
Effingham County in Southeast Georgia served as the location for some of the filming of Last Seen Alive. A large number of scenes were filmed in Rincon, a town in Effingham County located 17 miles from Savannah. The Texaco Rincon at 1113 North Columbia Avenue in town is reportedly the gas station where Lisa disappears in the film.

Will Spann transports his bride to her parents’ house. On the way they stop at a gas station, where his wife unexpectedly disappears. He becomes confused and begins to fear, but he soon suspects wrongdoing. He notifies the authorities, but becomes the prime suspect. The investigation is led by Detective Paterson, who believes Will may be involved in his wife’s kidnapping.
