Johnson gave a review to theater fans Saturday at the Drape Up Broadway Celebration in Times Square.

“Hocus Pocus has been like my #1 movie since I was a kid,” he said. “Furthermore, I realized that one year I had to get some of my friends together and become the Sanderson Sisters for Halloween, however I realized that I couldn’t do it. That’s how I know if I don’t have the money to really do something right I’d rather not do it.”

Later in the week, on the Broadway Webcast Organization’s digital broadcast of The Specialty of Graciousness, Hocus Pocus filmmaker David Kirschner discovered that a phase of religious paradigm shift was formally underway. “It started before the Coronavirus, however, currently, it is by all accounts back – and that is that they are developing a Broadway form of Hocus Pocus,” said Kirschner, who produced and created the 1993 Halloween film, and furthermore fills in as a maker in this late delivered continuation.

He told digital recording host Robert Peterpaul, “I just have to push myself, and I worry about the possibility of being 9 years old and on a youth baseball field again…

But the rest and watch it all is very good. “Not just me. So many individuals have brought up Hocus Pocus [to life] – from [director] Kenny Ortega and Mick Garris’ content and John Debney’s score and Bill Sandell’s creative plan, and nowadays it’s a very different age group,” Kirschner, 67, said.

However, with no theater, cast, creative team or course of events for a Broadway creation of Hocus Pocus formally announced, Kirschner told Peterpaul, “I believe you will be very pleased.” The 1993 film, featuring Midler, 76, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker as the evil but entertaining Sanderson Sisters, is set on Halloween night.

At the point when Max Dennison (Omri Katz) lights the Dark Fire Flame inside an old cabin in Salem, Massachusetts, he resurrects three of the witches who are wreaking havoc on the town.
