Josh Duggar blames an associate in a child pornography case

Josh Duggar blames a former associate for his crimes in a new appeal in a child pornography case.

The disgraced “19 Children and Counting” star filed an appeal in an Arkansas court on Monday, claiming that government agents had not interviewed or investigated Caleb Williams, who “regularly used the only [computer] which contained child pornography, was tech savvy “and allegedly sent Duggar a text offer to” watch the fate. “

Documents obtained by Page Six also indicate that Williams, who worked with the Duggar at Wholesale Motorcars, is a convicted sex offender.

The 34-year-old Duggar claimed that he and his team wanted to call Williams to the booth, but a federal court forbade it.

“The government replied, ‘The only obvious reason the defense wants to call him is that he’s a sex offender,'” the documents said.

The jury found it the TLC star was to blame on one point of receiving and possessing child pornography in December 2021. A jury ruled after seven hours of deliberation after a six-day trial.

In May, Duggar was sentenced to 151 months in prison, or from 12 to 13 years. The sentence is about eight years shorter than the 20 years before it.

Several of Josh’s siblings backed his conviction and sentencing.

His sister Jinger Duggar praised the jury for their decision, writing in part in a lengthy Instagram statement: “We are saddened by the victims of the appalling child abuse. We are also saddened by Josh’s family, his wife and beloved children. “

Josh was accused of downloading child pornography files to a computer in his now closed car dealership over three days in May 2019.

His wife, Anna Duggar, with whom he shares seven children, stayed with Josh and supported him during his trials and tribulations.

TLC canceled the Duggar family show in 2015 after the first reports surfaced that Josh had allegedly molested five girls, including his sisters, when he was a minor. The web then canceled the spinoffCounting On after Josh was arrested for child pornography.
