Taylor Swift tells how Joe Alwyn inspired “Lavender Haze”

Amidst the publicity frenzy of her upcoming album “Midnights”, Taylor Swift delved into how her relationship with longtime lover Joe Alwyn inspired the song “Lavender Haze.”

Grammy winner, 32 years old, shared in the video on Instagram she first heard the term on Friday while watching “Mad Men”.

“It turns out that it was a common expression used in the 1950s when they just described being in love,” explained Swift, adding that “Lavender Haze” meant you were in the “all-embracing splendor of love.” and found it “really beautiful.”

“I think theoretically, when you’re in Lavender Haze, you’ll do whatever it takes to stay there and not let people pull you off the cloud,” the singer of “Wildest Dreams” also noted, submitting why the sentence resembled her 31-year-old Alwyn.

Alwyn has been dating Swift since 2016.
