Rumor has it that David McCallum will die

Earlier this week, rumors of the death of actor David McCallum caused concern among fans around the world.

The October 2022 report, on the other hand, has already turned out to be a complete lie. It’s just the latest in a long line of fake celebrity weight loss reports. The actor best known for his work on the TV show NCIS is still healthy, which is good news.

After a Facebook page called “RIP David McCallum” gained nearly a million “likes,” rumors of his death began to spread on Sunday. The “About” page told readers the truth about how the Scottish actor died.

About his illness and health

David McCallum, who is from Scotland, is still alive and doing well. But his health problems have not yet been discussed in the mainstream media.

In reality, he had a heart attack in the NCIS episode, which cut him short on screen time.

McCallum rose to fame in the 1960s when he played secret agent Illya Kuryakin on the TV show The Man from UNCLE. At the age of 89, he is no longer as young as he used to be.

He is unlikely to appear on NCIS more often. People can enjoy Ducky’s random appearances on NCIS right now, but like many other cast members, Ducky’s future on the show is far from certain.

David McCallum quit NCIS, right?

David McCallum has cut back on his work on the show, but he hasn’t completely left it yet.

So David McCallum, who played Donald “Ducky” Mallard and has been on NCIS the longest, hasn’t been in many episodes in recent years.

In 2003, the first medical examiner of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service was featured in the procedural show “Yankee White”.

Since 2018, McCallum’s character Ducky has been in fewer episodes, leaving fans wondering if he could leave NCIS like Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon).

So that David McCallum could work less on NCIS, Ducky’s role was shortened

David McCallum, speaking about Ducky’s new role, said he will have more time to spend with his wife, children, six grandchildren and cat Nickie because he will have a smaller role in fewer episodes.

“I’m happy to say that I’ve signed a deal with CBS so that Dr. Donald Mallard can stay on NCIS for season 16,” he said. “It will be difficult to get everything together again. That agreement allows me to spend time with Katherine, our children, our six grandsons and Nickie” (via Facebook).

It makes sense that he would want to take a break from the NCIS autopsy loss bodies on screen and calm down a bit. People can enjoy Ducky’s random appearances on NCIS right now, but like many other cast members, Ducky’s future on the show is far from certain.

When Ducky decides to leave NCIS for good, Gibbs is sure to make a special appearance to help celebrate. Since Ducky and Gibbs have known each other for a long time, it would make sense that Ducky would have the same perfect legacy in the show as Gibbs.

David McCallum Is The Only Original NCIS Cast Member Still Working There

If David McCallum moved beyond his role and left the show, none of the main cast members from the first season of NCIS would be around.

Since NCIS has been on air since 2003, nearly 20 years ago, it makes sense that the entire original cast would be replaced at some point.

Still, it would be the end of an era for people who watched the show from the beginning. However, McCallum’s lesser role makes the show more realistic.

Like the actor, Ducky would be nearing the end of his career. Shorter screen time makes NCIS more immersive and makes it more likely that people will be less visible at work as they approach retirement.
