Paris Hilton spoke out about sexual assault during the fight to close a school in Utah

The school added: “While we recognize that over the years there are people who believe that the program has not helped them, we are encouraged by the many stories from former residents about how their stay has been a pivotal moment in improving — and in many cases, saving — their life.

In March 2021, Hilton also testified about her alleged abuse at a boarding school in a Utah courtroom. Her testimony was in support of a bill aimed at ending abuse in public care facilities.

“I needed this bill when I was in the hospital, and I’m honored to support thousands of young people who now have greater protection,” she said at the time. “This is just the beginning — I plan to go to the federal arena with a bill that will protect youth across the country in these institutions.”
