Eminence in the Shadows Episode 2 Summary

Minoru Kagenou is amazed to find that after his death in a car accident, he has been resurrected as Cid Kagenou in a parallel universe. Compared to his life in the past, the life he leads now as a member of the noble family is very different. Cid, on the other hand, makes the decision to continue his life as a vigilante, although he will train privately and appear like a normal person on the outside. As a result, when he grows up, people will eventually view his older sister Claire as the legitimate heir to the Kagenou family.

During this time, Cid is involved in a covert fight against bandits. During one of his nocturnal missions, he encounters a living lump of decaying flesh. He realizes that someone is under a curse, and in order to save that person’s life he performs a series of tests over the course of a few days. He eventually manages to heal the decaying flesh, resulting in the creature’s transformation into a lovely elfin girl. Cid sees this as an opportunity and uses it to his advantage to control her. After naming her Alpha, he tells her a lie that she is really a descendant of ancient heroes who once bravely fought the monster Diabolos. He says this after already giving her the name Alpha.

Cid continues by claiming that the Diabolos Cult is currently planning to revive him and that she must take action to prevent this. Alpha eventually believes what he says and as a result forms a resistance movement called the Shadow Garden to fight the cult. After waiting three years, she finally manages to recruit some people and they decide to call themselves the Shadow Seven as a group. During this time, Cid is still working on his skills with his sister Claire, although he was never able to defeat her.

Aristocrats are expected to enroll at the Midgar Academy of Dark Knights in the royal capital as soon as they turn fifteen. Also, Claire has registered there and will be relocating there soon to continue her formal education. Unfortunately, on the day she was supposed to leave for the royal capital, Claire mysteriously disappeared from her room without leaving a sign.

It won’t be long before everyone finds out she’s been captured. While Cid’s father is stunned that someone was able to fight Cid’s mother, Cid’s mother is outraged and quarrels with his father over the lack of security. Meanwhile, Cid’s father is furious that someone was able to fight her. Cid, on the other hand, is not overly concerned about the situation and consults with Beta, a member of the Shadow Seven, on how to look for her.

The ending of The Eminence in Shadow Episode 2: Will Shadow Seven and Cid save Claire from kidnappers?

Beta, initially aware of the situation, has finally met up with Cid to talk about the next steps they plan to take. Beta informs Cid that a high-ranking Cult of Diabolos officer is involved in the kidnapping, although Cid is certain bandits are responsible for the kidnapping. She claims that they kidnapped Claire because they think she is a descendant of one of the heroes and that is why they stole her. The next thing that happens is Beta gives Cid a map and shows all the possible hiding spots where his sister was kidnapped.

Cid thinks their original speculations are wrong, so he throws a knife at the map to indicate where to look for the treasure. However, he accidentally misses the target he intended to hit. To Beta’s amazement, Beta is ecstatic and he thinks Cid just hit the nail on the head by pointing in the direction they weren’t even looking. Beta’s reaction surprised him. Shortly after this gathering, the Seven Shadows launched an unexpected attack on the hideout.

While all is in progress, Claire is interrogated by Viscount Grease, a high-ranking officer in the Cult of Diabolos. As he starts talking about her brother, Claire disengages from her chains and runs toward him, only to be thrown to the ground moments later. One of his comrades unexpectedly shows up with the news that the Seven Shadows have launched an attack on the hideout. Despite the fact that Viscount feels his troops have the strength to be part of the Royal Guard, these soldiers are currently dying in front of their opponents at an alarming rate.

When approached by Alpha and her followers, Viscount engages in combat for a time and then attempts to escape. Unfortunately for him, he eventually comes into contact with Cid, who pokes fun at his martial arts before taking his own life in cold blood without showing any remorse. The next day, after freeing herself from her bonds, Claire makes her way back to her house. Her wounds are not life threatening and she is recovering quickly enough to continue her journey to the royal capital.

plot

A young man in modern Japan aspires to become a thought leader wielding power from the shadows. However, while practicing to achieve this goal, he is hit by a truck and killed. He then reincarnates in a fantasy realm under the name of Cid Kagenou, where he maintains a thoroughly average appearance to avoid drawing attention to himself, instead secretly pursuing his desire for power. One day he meets an elf girl suffering from a strange disease and he is able to treat her and save her life. Cid invents a story in which he explains that this planet is insidiously controlled by the Cult of Diabolos and that his shadowy organization, Shadow Garden, is the only one capable of fighting them. The elf girl we now know as Alpha becomes a member of this group and immediately sets out to find more recruits. However, Cid’s claims are based on real events, but he is under the impression that everything he said is a complete fabrication. Under the guise of Shadow, Cid continues to wage war against the Cult of Diabolos, unaware that he is engaged in a complex political conflict.
