James Corden defended by restaurant owners after Balthazar’s ban

The restaurant industry sprang to defend James Corden after he was temporarily kicked out of Balthazar for being a “hideous” patron.

Renowned restaurateur Stratis Morfogen TMZ said that the host of the Late Late Show is one of the funniest and funniest customers he has ever served. Morphogen also noted that Corden was so great that he couldn’t even imagine the comedian being malicious to employees at all.

Morphogen remembered the night his restaurant, Brooklyn Chop House, held a 2018 post-Grammy party where Corden sang songs with the bartenders and met the staff behind the bar before giving a generous tip.

Todd English, another famous restaurateur, shared the same feelings as Morphogen, calling Corden “absolutely wonderful.”

English said Corden was “incredibly handsome” towards him and his staff as they traveled from his Olives restaurant in Las Vegas to cater for the Tony Awards afterparty.

Earlier this week, Balthazar’s owner Keith McNally called Corden the “most offensive” customer he had ever had and forbade him to eat at the iconic French brasserie.

“James Corden is an incredibly talented comedian, but a tiny idiot. And the most offensive client of my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago, ”McNally said in a Monday Instagram post.

Known for posting his feuds on Instagram, McNally claimed that Corden demanded giveaways and threatened Balthazar with a bad review after finding hair in his food in June.

In another incident, McNally claimed Corden was yelling at his employee after his wife’s eggs weren’t prepared for her taste at brunch.

“Then James Corden started shouting madly at the waiter,” You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go to the kitchen and cook an omelette myself! ” McNally recalled.

McNally only told Page Six that he was “reluctant” to beat Corden in public, but “did so out of loyalty to waiters in restaurants around the world.”

“Their work is already hard enough. They shouldn’t take this kind of abuse to anyone, especially the rich and famous, ”he told us.

But hours later, McNally unlocked Corden after he shared that the “Carpool Karaoke” star had called him directly to apologize profusely.

“James Corden just called me and apologized profusely,” McNally wrote on Instagram Monday evening. “After I’ve fucked up more than most people, I firmly believe in a second chance.”

He added: “Anyone who is generous enough to apologize to a lazy layman like me (and my staff) deserves a ban anywhere. Especially Belshazzar. Everything is forgiven. “

The controversy with Corden arises a few months after Corden announced that … will no longer host night talk show in 2023.
