Ed Sheeran on why he performed at the wedding of Patriots owner Robert Kraft

You must be a very important person for Ed Sheeran to sing at your wedding.

So it came as no surprise that 81-year-old Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his new fiancée Dr. Dana Blumberg (47) received live vocals from the four-time Grammy winner on their big day.

It appears on SiriusXM’s Morning Mash Up Sheeran explained why he chose to perform at the celebrations with the stars at Hall des Lumières in lower Manhattan on October 14.

“Well, it was crazy because it was” Perfect “and” Perfect “is the one everyone always wants for their first dance, but I’ve never done it before,” Sheeran told the hosts.

The singer said he had a “wonderful relationship” with Kraft that dates back to his first-ever arena gig across the pond in 2013.

“I mean, it was the first stadium I played in the US,” Sheeran said, referring to Kraft’s Gillette Stadium. “I’ve always had a wonderful relationship with him. He’s super cute. “
