Rescuing the LA Dogs explains what happened to Olivia Wilde’s Golden Retriever

The Los Angeles-based dog rescue organization from which Olivia Wilde adopted her Golden Retriever, Gordon, wants to “straighten out” what really happened to him.

Among the bombing claims of the actress’s former nanny, Maeday Rescue I took on Instagram Friday, to explain the director’s “Don’t Worry Baby” decision to “Gordy’s coming home”.

They called Wilde, 38, a “great advocate for saving animals” and a “responsible pet owner” who acted “out of compassion and love for him.”

According to Maeday, the organization “saved” Gordon – “with his 4 litters” – from an unnamed “refuge” in 2018.

The founder of the rescue, Natalie, then “looked after them and fed them with a bottle” until the organization was able to find them “perfect homes forever.”

Wilde “adopted” one of the four dogs “2 months old” and gave him “lots of love”, “training” and “travel adventures”.

However, according to the emergency center, the actress “realized that Gordy did not love traveling life and was not happy among young children.”

Wilde and her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis have two children: 8-year-old son Otis and 6-year-old daughter Daisy.

Maeday claims that Gordon “developed a very strong bond with his dog walker” who lived in Brooklyn.

“Olivia called Maeday to discuss” the situation, and “after much reflection and thought,” all parties involved felt that giving the dog to a New York dog walker would be “in Gordy’s best interests.”

“Every once in a while, an animal is just happier in a different environment, and that’s okay,” wrote the emergency center, insisting that they “pride themselves on” “finding the perfect home forever” for their pets.

Maeday also noted that Gordy’s Instagram page is full of evidence that he is “living his best life!”

“We felt we should share this because we hate the media painting the person who had adopted Maeday in a bad light,” explained the organization without further explanation.

Last week, Wilde’s ex-nanny, and Sudeikis made a series of shocking allegations against the exes, including the director’s carelessly shedding Gordon in order to travel more with her then-new boyfriend, Harry Styles.

“Later [Wilde] left [at the start of November 2020]came to visit and said nonchalantly, “We need to find Gordon a new home,” says a former employee to the Daily Mail.

“Jason doesn’t really care about animals and wanted him to leave their home as soon as possible.”

According to a nanny who chose to remain anonymous, 47-year-old Sudeikis allegedly once told her that Wilde only had a pet for “appearances” and that she “rarely cares about him.”

“I told Jason that I know someone who loves Gordon and wants to take him in,” says the woman. “So Jason said,” Let’s get him out of here now. “

In a joint statement to Page Six, Wilde and Sudeikis completely denied the claims of their former employees.

“As parents, it is extremely upsetting to learn that a former nanny to our two young children would publicly choose such false and abusive accusations about us,” they told us last week through their representative.

“Her 18-month-long campaign of harassing us, loved ones, friends and colleagues has reached its unfortunate peak. We will continue to focus on the upbringing and protection of our children with the sincere hope that now he will decide to leave our family alone. ”
