And just like that … she came back. Or so they thought.

Emmy award-winning former Sex and the City costume director Patricia Field gave her surprise Monday on HBO Max reboot, and we hear everyone on the show welcomes her back as if she’s re-styling the main ladies.

“She walked by and one of the photographers said, ‘Oh my God, we’re so excited to be back on set,’ the spy told Page Six.

Field replied, “I’m not on the set. I don’t know what kind of movie it is, ”adds the source.

Field was going out to lunch with Lara Eudolian of Pretty Connected as they walked past shooting the show in New York’s Soho neighborhood. “She said,” No way! ” after the crew told her it was “Sex and the City” not a movie, the source told us.

The show’s director Michael Patrick King came to visit and they took pictures together.

We reached out to Field and she confirmed she was “walking on the set” and told us “what a wonderful coincidence and a surprise!”

Fans stared at her in the street. But it won’t stylize Sarah Jessica Parker and her costumes. The job now belongs to her protégé Molly Rogers, she told us.

Field is still busy. In fact, she turned down her job because she was busy working on “Emily in Paris,” the Netflix series she had styled for the past three seasons. Field also styled Starz’s Run this World.
