Amal Clooney reveals her 5-year-old son who drew a picture of the prison and said “Putin should be here”
The Clooney’s seem to have either a budding artist or a politician in the family. Or maybe both.
Speaking alongside Michelle Obama and Melinda French Gates at a panel in New York on Tuesday, a human rights lawyer revealed how much her 5-year-old twin sisters Ella and Alexander inspire her work.
The 44-year-old has admitted that while her children, whom she shares with her 61-year-old husband George Clooney, are “not up to date with current affairs,” her son often takes notes of what he does at work.
In fact, he did not hesitate to give his two cents for the current situation with Russian President Vladimir Putin after his large-scale unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.
“My son drew a picture of the prison one day and said,” Putin should be here, “Amal revealed before adding that he is currently” working on Ukrainian affairs. “
Amal, who admitted that her children are the “real driving force” of her work with the Clooney Foundation for Justice, said it was only a matter of time before her children began to understand what was happening in politics.
“I think that in a few years, when they are older than 5, they will start learning about some of the things we are talking about and what is happening in the world,” she continued.
“You know when they ask us,“ What have you done with it? What did you say about that? I’ve thought about what my answer will be and I hope it will be right. “
The Clooney’s, who got married in September 2014, welcomed their twins in June 2017.
The couple often share anecdotes about their children, and George recently exposed a “terrible mistake” that he and Amal made teaching them Italian.
Revealing why this is a poorly thought-out parental choice, he explained: “But we don’t speak Italian,” he added. “So we armed them with language they could hurt us with. And we both don’t really know what they’re saying.
