Dorinda Medley on why Ramona Singer shaded “RHONY: Legacy”

Dorinda Medley believes that Ramona Singer was only concealing Bravo’s upcoming True Housewives spin-off as a defense mechanism.
“It was a difficult time for all of us because we were all in limbo for a long time, so maybe she reacted safely to protect herself,” Medley, 57, says exclusively to Page Six, promoting her partnership with Amazon and Call devices.
“Maybe she’s worried,” continues the author of “Make It Nice,” who recently made contact with Singer after a long break in friendship.
“I do not believe [she feels that way]. Hope that’s not true.
Last week, 65-year-old Singer shared her unfiltered thoughts on “RHONY: Legacy” – which will feature the OG stars of the original Big Apple “Housewives” series – and went so far as to call it “The Loser Show.”
“But I also feel like” Heritage ” [show]how can that be really good? The people they intend to bring in are the people they didn’t want to restore anyway, “she told host Carlos King during the podcast “Reality with the King”.
“Now what? Will you call it” The Loser Show “,” Loser Legacy “?
The singer – the only cast member of “RHONY” to hold the position full-time for the next 13 seasons – said she had gotten used to less exposure since the last episode aired in September 2021.
“I’m much calmer now when I didn’t do the program,” explained the real estate agent. “I know it’s an oxymoron, but I really don’t like being recognized.”
Some Bravo fans persistently urged the network to banish Singer from “New York,” many citing an exclusive Page Six report on Singer’s alleged racist commentary about Eboni’s co-star K. Williams who opened an internal investigation. (Singer, who denied making such remarks, was later cleared in an investigation.)
“You can call me unfiltered, not polite, always in a hurry. You know, I forgot people’s names. Yes, I am all of them. But one thing I’m not – I’m not a racist, Singer assured in Reality With the King.
Bravo honcho Andy Cohen unveiled the next stages of “RHONY” in March, telling Variety that a reboot of “RHONY” – with all-new and diverse women – was underway, as well as the “Legacy” project.
Cohen, 54, said the dual program approach “captures everything our passionate audience has really told us over the past year” – as a result, “RHONY” ratings dropped and the 13th season reunion was canceled.
The new cast of “RHONY” – including Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Lizzy Savetsky, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield – were announced earlier this month at BravoCon 2022.
“I think it’s very exciting to have new girlfriends,” says Medley. “We’re finally going on this train. Because New York needs girls running around – new girls, old girls, I think that’s good stuff to come. ”
Elsewhere during a three-day convention held at Manhattan’s Javits CenterCohen told Medley that he may be on the edge of a steady return to reality TV. (She notoriously took a “pause” after Season 12 of “RHONY”).
“When are you going to take Dorinda Medley from pause and hit the play button?” she auditioned her former boss during the “Ask Andy” panel.
“Wow, since Jill Zarin asked me why she was fired, I have ever been whipped so publicly by a former” housewife, “he said with a laugh while assuring her,” Dorinda, your time is coming. ”
Medley made a temporary return during the second season of Peacock’s “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” where she hosted women from several franchises at her Massachusetts mansion, Bluestone Manor.
While Medley hopes to finally get her apple back after the Legacy audition finishes, she still enjoys being away from the cameras at times.
“I love my life now because I have this beautiful Bravolebrity [status]all this city life, but I also have the opportunity to return to Bluestone Manor, which you know, love and live for, ‘he explains.
With the help of Amazon devices and Smart Home technology, Medley – known for her love of the holidays – turned her famous mansion into a Halloween haven full of holiday decorations.
“I loved BravoCon but was really excited to get in the car one day. I knew I had an Amazon partnership with Ring and the new Echo Show 15, ”he says. “It’s a really cool thing.”
