Chaka Khan Tells Auto-Tuning Singers To “Get A Job In The Post Office”

Chaka Khan believes that if you need to use auto-tuning to hit your notes, you should find a job at the post office, not a recording studio.

“There are some great things and there are some great artists,” the legendary diva told Page Six at Angel Ball Monday, “There are some very great young artists doing great, great work that I’m impressed with.”

“But others just have to get them jobs at the post office – they’re always hiring!” She added, “People use Auto-tune. They need to get to the post office quickly.

The singer performed hits such as “I’m Every Woman” and “Tell Me Something Good” at the annual fundraiser for the Gabrielle’s Angel for Cancer Research Foundation. Denise Rich founded a charity to honor her daughter Gabrielle, who died at the age of 27 of leukemia.

Meanwhile, she said some of the most talented female artists seem to have very low self-esteem. “I feel very sad. It makes me deeply sad that there is so much… uncertainty in these girls. They really need to know that they are gold and that they really are precious.”

Clive Davis also attended an event where Star Jones served as a “paddle maker”. Investor John Paulson was honored at an event on Cipriani Wall Street.

The gala raised $ 2.8 million.
