Aaron Carter has died at the age of 34
Page Six can confirm that Aaron Carter was found dead at his California home on Saturday. He was 34 years old.
“It is with great regret to confirm that Aaron Carter did not respond to his Palmdale, California home that day,” his representative, Page Six, said Saturday.
“The family has been notified and is flying to Los Angeles. Aaron worked very hard towards the end of his life to be a good father and reconcile with his family. “
Multiple Sources TMZ said On Saturday, Carter’s body was found in his bathtub.
Law enforcement was reportedly sent to the premises around 11am local time after receiving a call that a man had drowned.
According to TMZ, detectives investigate the death as homicide, but were told it was standard procedure.
The official cause of death is unknown and will likely not be disclosed until the autopsy and coroner’s report are completed.
Carter rose to fame as a kid star in the late 1990s with hits such as “I Want Candy”, “Aaron’s Party” and “This is how I beat Shaq.” He was also known to be the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.
However, as Aaron grew up, he lived a complicated life surrounded by substance abuse, relationship issues, and mental health issues.
Back in September, singer “Fool’s Gold” revealed that he had “voluntarily” entered an outpatient rehabilitation program to try to regain custody of his son, Prince, who is now 11 months old.
Aaron and his fiancée Melanie Martin welcomed their first child in November 2021.
The pop singer previously said that he sought help in dealing with the “triggers” that made him want to smoke marijuana, and also confessed to taking Xanax as part of a “regimental medicine” plan to keep him “dust-free”.
Then, just a few days ago, Aaron was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to TMZ.
However, this was not the first time he had trouble with law enforcement.
In 2017, a graduate of the House of Carters was arrested on DUI and marijuana charges in Georgia, but ultimately did not go to jail.
Aaron has also made headlines in recent years because of his toxic relationship with Martin. Both sides sometimes made allegations of abuse.
Earlier this year, a model accused her child’s father of breaking three ribs during a dispute. However, Aaron denied these claims.
Martin then he said on Instagram that she made ‘untrue’ claims because she was suffering from postpartum depression at the time.
Influencer has yet to comment on Aaron’s death.
