Cops found pills, cans of compressed air
There are more clues as to what may have contributed to the tragic death of Aaron Carter.
Responding officers reportedly found multiple cans of compressed air in the singer’s bathroom – where his body was discovered on Saturday – as well as in his bedroom Lancaster, California, homelaw enforcement sources TMZ said on Monday.
The store also reports that police found bottles of prescription pills at the scene.

Carter, who died at the age of 34, first revealed his addiction to gasping during the course of 2019 episode “Doctors”. At the time, he claimed that his late sister, Leslie Carter, was the one who made him addicted to it. She fatally overdosed in 2012 at the age of 25.
“It’s something I’ve kept a secret from the world so far,” he said then, noting that he started to gasp when he was “about 16”.
Aaron said he “didn’t really touch it” again until he was “around 23” right after he competed in Season 9 of “Dancing With the Stars” in 2009.
“I started going to Staples, Office Depot and other places, buying them with cash so that it would not be reported on the receipts or anything like that, so that no one could trace me,” he admitted. “I was panting because I was really stupid and sad, but that’s not really an excuse. I was panting because I’m a drug addict.
It is unclear if Aaron was battling active sigh addiction at the time of his death. However, TMZ reported Cops showed up at his house last month for a health check after fans watching his Instagram Live became concerned that he gasped.
Police officers said they found no drugs or any criminal activity at the scene.
The report came just weeks after Aaron entered the outpatient rehabilitation program after losing custody of his 11-month-old son Prince, whom he shared with his new, precarious fiancée, Melanie Martin.
He Sun said at the time a court ordered Martin’s mother to custody Prince temporarily due to domestic violence and concerns over drug use.
Aaron said of his “abstinence program” that it included “group therapy, parenting classes.” [and] lessons in domestic violence ”.
In addition to being addicted, Aaron lived with a mental illness. In his adult life, he was diagnosed with multiple personality disorders, schizophrenia and acute anxiety. It is unclear whether he was taking any medications for the aforementioned drugs at the time of his death.
Law enforcement sources previously told TMZ that the singer’s landlady was the last person to see him alive, at 2am on Friday after police officers showed up to conduct a health check on the singer. It is not known who submitted the application.
The newspaper reported that Aaron had ordered the officers to leave and had told the landlady to leave him alone.
According to TMZ, the landlady reportedly didn’t see him for the rest of the day, only went to his bedroom Saturday morning to see if he wanted coffee. The facility further claimed to have heard his dog outside the door in distress, so she walked in and found his dead body in the bathtub.
She then frantically called 9-1-1 to report the suspicion of drowning.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that they believed Aaron’s body had been in the bathtub for a long time because they noticed the smell of decay and the discolored bath.
The cause of Aaron’s death has not been determined by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office pending toxicological findings.
TMZ reports that no farewell letter was found and there were no traces of dirty play.
