“There was a scene that missed the movie where me and my other half-sister [Charlotte Spencer] she led a group of about 300 girls – fantastic dancers, slender, it happened – down this 50-meter path to the castle, singing “Single Ladies” and dancing, “she said.

“I couldn’t keep up with the choreography. I was still losing my breath. We’d have to start over and film this scene over and over for me.

The actress “Dumplin” explained that the time was in line with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, so she began walking in her spare time. 30 minutes a day turned into an hour, turned into two hours a day and “that’s how it started for me.”

“I climbed the scale and it was inspiring to see that I was in control – that I was in control of my body,” said Baillio, adding that she also became vegan and tried more intense workouts like hot yoga.

Baillo explained that while her weight loss was pleasant, she was more focused on “keeping up” and gaining “that physical endurance.”

“I am inspired by a changing mentality,” continued Baillio. “I want to play my dream roles on Broadway that have nothing to do with my weight. And I can definitely see that it is going in that direction. “

However, Baillio still remains positive about the body in her view of physical appearance.

“It’s a compliment when people tell me I look good, but I refrain from commenting on people’s appearance because I know that when I was struggling – when I was so focused on the numbers on the scale and people told me I was doing right and [to] go on – it wasn’t good for me – she said.
